Firm Overview & Attorney Profiles

Garvey Cushner & Associates PLLC is a renowned, multidisciplinary finance, business, and criminal law firm. With more than 30 years of combined experience, we are proud to serve New York's Westchester, Rockland, and Orange Counties as well as New York City. Our law firm emphasizes experience, knowledge, and commitment. Our goal is to provide you with the best possible representation available. We will utilize our extensive legal experience to help you achieve your desired outcome. Take comfort knowing that Garvey Cushner & Associates can assist you with your legal situation.

Our Philosophy

At Garvey Cushner & Associates, we advise and represent a wide range of clients facing a variety of legal issues from individuals, to entrepreneurs and small businesses. The firm serves clients in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut as well as clients throughout the United States. We are the go-to firm for all of your personal and business legal needs.

Prior to establishing Garvey Cushner & Associates, the firm’s founders, Lawrence Garvey and Todd Cushner, began their respective legal careers with commercial litigation and bankruptcy practice, and as general counsel for a large corporation. This combined experience provided substantial training in the areas of litigation, government contracts, commercial law, real estate, bankruptcy, family law, criminal law, and trust and estates law. More importantly, however, this experience instilled within them the importance of providing a quality work product and aggressively representing the interests of the client. While we have the knowledge and experience that the bigger firms can offer, we also have the flexibility that they lack.

Garvey Cushner & Associates continues to emphasize the same philosophy of providing quality services to its clients. We incorporate a large firm mentality of providing superior legal services while working to provide a higher level of personalized attention characteristic of our small firm. We do not over staff with non-attorney personnel, instead, we utilize our experienced attorneys to provide streamlined, cost efficient legal representation.

Our policy is to provide our clients with a thorough evaluation of the merits of each case. As a part of this process, we strive to present a realistic estimate of the fees and costs that will be incurred, which allows the client to make an educated decision on how to proceed. We will consider alternative billing arrangements to reflect the client’s needs, including contingent fees, split contingent fees, hourly fees, and other arrangements.

Throughout the representation, we will use every effort to keep the client informed of all developments in the case so that the client may be confident in their case and representation.
